Frequently asked

Honest answers, no jargon.

What is Water Yourself?

Water Yourself is a youth-led mental health social enterprise founded in Madagascar in 2021.

Who are your programs for?

Three audiences: schools (K-12 and Higher Ed), NGOs and community organisations, and companies. Each has its own dedicated track because the needs and the language are different.

Are you certified mental health professionals?

Our team is a mix of trained mental health professionals, certified counselors, advocates, and people with lived experience.

Where do you operate geographically?

We are based in Antananarivo, Madagascar, and currently operate across 5 regions of the country, including urban centers, rural and remote communities, and areas affected by climate disasters such as cyclones and droughts. We are actively building toward continental reach across Africa, partnering with organizations and institutions that share our vision of making mental health care accessible to everyone, everywhere. If you are based outside of Madagascar and are interested in partnering with us, we would love to hear from you.

In which languages do you work?

We work in Malagasy, French, and English. All our programs and training materials are adapted to the local language of the communities we serve.

How do you guarantee confidentiality?

Confidentiality is non-negotiable for us. Everything shared in our counseling sessions, peer support spaces, and Mental Health Hubs stays within those walls. Our peer counselors and staff are trained extensively on ethical boundaries, confidentiality protocols, and safe data practices from day one.

How does a first conversation go?

A 30-minute call to understand your context. No commitment, no quote yet. We listen first, then propose if there is a fit.

What are your rates?

Transparent pricing per format, with sliding scales for NGOs and small structures. Detailed quote sent within 48 hours of the first call.
